West Cheshire College’s specialist business solutions team hosted an informative business event in conjunction with Cheshire and Warrington Growth Hub for new and growing businesses in the region.
Keynote speakers at the event, which was attended by more than 20 local businesses, included Paul Mushrow, Associate Director of Management and Professional Management from West Cheshire College; Sean Buckley, Manufacturing Integration Manager of Vauxhall and Ian Gregory, Director of The Alternative Board Mid-Cheshire.
Paul Mushrow, who provided an update to businesses on Apprenticeship funding as well as details of important changes to the Apprenticeship framework and what support is available, says: “This was the first event we have hosted in partnership with Cheshire and Warrington Growth Hub. It was a great opportunity for businesses in the region to network as well as receive advice and support about how to grow and develop their businesses – either through Apprenticeships, business improvement strategies or sales recruitment.”
Sean Buckley, Manufacturing Integration Manager of Vauxhall, offered a rare and insightful look into the continuous improvement strategies adopted by Vauxhall whilst Ian Gregory from The Alternative Board Mid-Cheshire will provide the essential guide to sales recruitment, including tips and advice on the fundamentals when recruiting for sales positions.
The Growth Hub, governed by the Cheshire and Warrington LEP, aims to provide impartial, clear and expert support to help Cheshire and Warrington businesses get the best support and advice.
