Do you want an exciting career where you could travel the world, meet new people and visit international travel destinations? You’ll learn about working on the airlines, people skills and sales, cabin crew working environments in our real aircraft cabin, overseas resort rep operations, teamwork and effective communication.

There are many opportunities in the travel and tourism industries. Typically students start their careers with the airlines as cabin crew or with travel companies as travel consultants and resort representatives. As part of the course, tutors will help you with finding work in the industry from making a successful application to effective interview technique.

Trips and Activities

An important part of all courses is regular visits to airline training centres, employers and tourist attractions. This year students visited Virgin Airlines’ training centre where they practised fire drills and aircraft emergency evacuations.

Each year students visit a tourist destination abroad to learn more about the industry and to get a flavour of what it is like to be a Resort Representative and work in travel operations. Students have travelled to exotic destinations such as Dubai, Salou and taken part in a cruise to Barcelona.

Most students progress to higher-level study at the College either from Level 1 to Level 2 or from Level 2 to Level 3, or progress into employment with major companies in the travel industry including Emirates, Jet 2, Easy Jet, Thomas Cook, Manchester Airport and Sykes Cottages.
