Whether you’re looking to start your career as a Bricklayer, Plumber, Carpenter, Plasterer or work in construction management, we can help you get your career off the ground.

We’ll help you learn all the practical techniques you need to know, and experience real work environments, and you’ll have the opportunity to talk to industry experts. You’ll gain hands-on experience using our state-of-the-art equipment and construction bays.

Whatever construction course you choose, you will learn from experienced industry-trained tutors who will prepare you for work in a range of environments, such as large-scale industrial sites, and intricate projects in ornate interiors.

At West Cheshire College you will benefit from using our excellent facilities that include bespoke plumbing pods for bathroom plumbing and boiler installations, electrical pods for fitting and live testing of electrical installations, carpentry and joinery, brickwork and plastering areas which come together in the ‘Project Court’ where students can work to complete construction projects.


Most students progress to higher-level study at the College either from Level 1 to Level 2 or from Level 2 to Level 3, or progress into employment or Apprenticeships in the industry in roles such as Bricklayers, Stonemasons, Plumbers, Electricians, Plasterers, Painter and Decorators, Bench or Site Carpenters and Construction Site Managers.
