Preparation for Life and WorkView Courses
Preparation for Life and Work is the name given to the provision the College offers at Entry Level and Level 1.
It is designed to be flexible and personal to you and includes vocational/practical skills training, personal and social skills and English, maths and IT linked to both work and daily living.
Preparation for Life and Work will help prepare you for the next step in life such as a higher-level course, getting a job, taking up an Apprenticeship, working as a volunteer, working with help from supported employment services and being able to live more independently.
The College will provide you with lots of opportunities to develop the skills you need to progress and succeed. You will get lots of support to help you decide which route is best for you and to make the right decisions and choices in life.
You will have an individual learning plan which also enables you to gain skills linked to personal and social development and reading, writing and number skills. The Learning Support Team will also provide specialist support where it is required.
