Engineering covers a vast choice of exciting career possibilities and is really about practical problem-solving. Our expert tutors will give you the skills to kick start your career. With an engineering qualification you could go on to careers as diverse as making prosthetic limbs for cancer patients to developing high tech manufacturing equipment. We also offer courses in automotive engineering if you are interested in cars and want to work as car mechanic. Our new Campus at Chester has all the latest industry standard equipment and the real work environments which will enable you to get real experience.

We will give you the skills and confidence you need to go into employment in the engineering industry, into an Apprenticeship, or on to higher-level study at university.
Our range of courses will equip you with the academic and practical skills needed for success in a variety of engineering occupations. You’ll experience a diverse range of engineering working environments such as maintenance engineering, mechanical engineering, welding techniques, fabrication, electrical and electronic engineering, bench fitting and an understanding of electrical applications.

Recent research has shown that in the North West there is a shortage of skilled welders and to fulfil this need we now offer a new City & Guilds Diploma in Fabrication and Welding at Level 3.
The College’s new manufacturing line was completed recently enabling students to maintain, diagnose faults on and operate a fully-functioning production line.

Most students progress to higher-level study at the College either from Level 1 to Level 2 or from Level 2 to Level 3, or progress into employment or Apprenticeships in the industry in roles such as Welder, Fabricator, Agricultural Engineer, Electrical Engineering Technician or Engineering Craft Machinist.
